Neuromodulators

Neuromodulators are prescription injectable treatments used to temporarily reduce activity in selected muscles. They differ from dermal fillers, which add volume. A consultation determines whether treatment is appropriate and which product and areas may be considered.

  • Understanding expression-related concerns
  • Considering facial movement
  • Setting realistic treatment goals
  • Planning an individual follow-up

A plan built
around you.

Jenny evaluates how your face moves as well as how it looks at rest. She asks what you are noticing and how much change you want, then explains the options and their limitations. The aim is a treatment decision that suits you rather than a routine applied to every face.

Your consultation.

Discuss previous treatment, medications and relevant medical history during consultation. Jenny will explain the proposed plan, alternatives and cost. There is time to ask about the result, review appointments and what would happen if you chose to wait.

Time to settle.

Changes develop over time rather than appearing fully at the appointment. Follow the specific aftercare and review guidance provided by your treating clinician. Seek urgent care for difficulty breathing, speaking or swallowing after treatment.

A little clarity

Your questions,
considered.

Is this the same as dermal filler?

No. These are different treatment categories with different uses. Jenny will explain which, if either, fits the concern you want to address.

How long does treatment last?

The effect is temporary. Product choice, treatment area and individual response influence timing; Jenny will discuss the expected course during consultation.

Will I need the same treatment as a friend?

No. Facial anatomy, muscle activity and goals differ. A personal assessment is more useful than comparing treatment quantities.

What risks should I discuss?

Ask about bruising, discomfort, headache, unwanted muscle weakness and eyelid or brow drooping, as well as rarer complications. Your health history and the product selected affect suitability.

Treatment suitability, benefits, risks and alternatives are discussed during consultation. Individual results vary. Contact the clinic for personalised advice.

Start with what
matters to you.

You don’t need to arrive with a treatment chosen. Bring your questions and let the conversation begin.
